- Who is David Wenden?
was a professional actor for many years and still retains
his Equity card should a call to the boards be issued! He
has spent the greater part of his working life in education
both in teaching and reciprocally, being taught by his students. He was, until recently, Head of Drama in a leading independent
school and due to his success both in the classroom and
in the 'real world' he has decided to offer his experience to
a broader spectrum by spending more time as a theatre practitioner and seminar leader
for presentation and team building. He is also an accomplished playwright,
lyricist and 'would-be' composer.
says "I enjoy passing on my theatrical experience to
other enthusiasts, both young and old, in drama workshops
and specially tailored study days to suit every requirement."
This is demonstrated not only by the enjoyment of
his students but also by the level of production.
He was responsible for the formation of 'Anglia Summer Schools',
a company that provides residential and non-residential
holidays for drama enthusiasts aged 8 -19 and takes great pleasure from the fact that some of them go on to bigger and better things.
One to one audition training is also available for the serious
actor and drama school candidate. GCSE and A level tutelage
is also one of his specialities.
David's rapport with all age groups has seen him
work with professional organisations requiring
coaching for presentational skills. "Confidence in the product
is all very well but confidence in your own ability is vital."
If he can be of any help to you, your organisation, college
or school do not hesitate to contact him.
